Nana was a popular French movie directed by Jean Renoir. It is based on a novel by the same name by the famous French author Emile Zola. It was a silent film that came out in 1926.
Emile Zola was a childhood friend of the Impressionist painter Paul Cezanne while Jean Renoir was the son of another famous Impressionist painter Auguste Renoir.
