Description
The Daughters of Catulle Mendes by Pierre-Auguste Renoir 1888
In this image, Renoir has painted the three daughters of his friend Catulle Mendes. The three girls are Huguette, Claudine and Helyonne.
The three girls are standing around the piano displaying their musical talent. This painting was more than just a vanity piece. All three girls had considerable musical talents and their mother was the famous virtuoso pianist Augusta Holmes.
Notice the intense hues Renoir used for the wood on the floors and the piano as well as the patterns in the dresses of the girls.
This image was created by photographing the original painting with a professional high-definition Leica camera. If you look closely, you can see the individual brushstrokes in the painting. It is not a copy from the internet. With the exceptional photography and exacting standards of color, this guarantees that you get the finest quality possible.
The watermark in the lower right hand corner of the picture does not appear on the final print.
