Description
Dance at Le Moulin de la Galette by Auguste Renoir
This painting is one of Renoir's most celebrated masterpieces. It is also considered to be one of the most important paintings from the Impressionist era.
This painting shows a typical Sunday afternoon dance at a place called Le Moulin de la Galette, which was on the outskirts of Paris in what is now the Montmartre neighbourhood.
What makes this a classic Impressionist painting is the subject matter (everyday Parisian life) and how it is portrayed (a focus on form, light and fluidity of movement). Brilliant!
This image of the painting was created by photographing the original picture with a high-definition Leica camera. This guarantees that you get the finest quality possible. The watermark in the lower right hand corner of the picture does not appear on the final print.

Prints are produced on acid-free paper using archival inks to guarantee they last a lifetime without fading or loss of colour.
If you chose to order a framed print, the framing is done to museum quality with archival matting. The frame is wired and comes with a wall hook. It is ready to hang on the wall.
