Description
Smallest Church in Iceland by Miles Whittingham
This is thought to be the smallest church in Iceland. It is located on a family farm in eastern Iceland. The church appears to date back to around 1780. It is in a style known as a turf church because it is half buried in the ground and has turf walls and a turf roof.
This church is incredibly romantic, and rare even for Iceland.
This impressive photograph was taken with a professional Leica medium format camera. The superb quality and high resolution of the camera guarantees that you get the the highest image quality possible. The watermark in the lower right hand corner of the picture does not appear on the final print.
Prints are produced on acid-free paper using archival inks to guarantee they last a lifetime without fading or loss of contrast, colour or tone.
If you chose to order a framed print, the framing is done to museum quality with archival matting. The frame is wired and comes with a wall hook. It is ready to hang on the wall.

In Japan, local Shintoism blends naturally with nature like this stunning image of this Christian church in Iceland. It seems that God - the spirits (Shinto) - connects naturally when part of nature. Even the strongest Doubting Thomas of any faith would feel something spiritual in this holy place. A lovely photo image!
