Description
Mount Sainte-Victoire and the Viaduct of the Arc River Valley by Cezanne
Cezanne is thought to have painted this image on his sister's property close to Montbriand, France. It shows the Arc River valley near Aix-en-Provence.
Notice how Cezanne has sought to reveal the inner geometry of nature through his painting of farms, fields and forests. The railway viaduct also shows how humanity has imposed geometric shapes on the natural landscape.
In the background to the left is Mont Sainte-Victoire, a popular motif in Cezanne's landscape paintings.
This image was created by photographing the original painting with a high-definition Leica camera. This guarantees that you get the finest quality possible. The watermark in the lower right hand corner of the picture does not appear on the final print.
Prints are produced on acid-free paper using archival inks to guarantee they last a lifetime without fading or loss of contrast, colour or tone.
If you chose to order a framed print, the framing is done to museum quality with archival matting. The frame is wired and comes with a wall hook. It is ready to hang on the wall.
