Description
Doctor Paul Gachet by Vincent Van Gogh
Paul Gachet was Van Gogh's doctor when he lived in Auvers in the south of France. Van Gogh thought very highly of Dr. Gachet and would often visit him once a week for dinner.
"Doctor Paul Gachet" is one of Van gogh's most famous paintings. Part of the appeal of this picture lies in the strong contrast between the flesh and the clothing and the personality that comes out in the sitter's face. Van Gogh himself said that Dr. Gachet "gives me an impression of being rather eccentric".
This image was created by photographing the original painting with a high-definition Leica camera. This guarantees that you get the finest quality possible. The watermark in the lower right hand corner of the picture does not appear on the final print.
Prints are produced on acid-free paper using archival inks to guarantee they last a lifetime without fading or loss of contrast, colour or tone.
If you chose to order a framed print, the framing is done to museum quality with archival matting. The frame is wired and comes with a wall hook. It is ready to hang on the wall.
