Description
Designs for Altarpieces of the Virgin Mary by Leonardo da Vinci 1485
These design drawings by Leonardo da Vinci were for a church altarpiece that he was designing.
The sketches have been done in silverpoint on pink paper. Silverpoint is a traditional drawing technique used by Medieval scribes. It involves drawing with a wire made of lead, silver and tin.
This image was created by photographing the original painting with a professional high-definition Leica camera. If you look closely, you can see the individual brushstrokes in the painting. It is not a copy from the internet. With the exceptional photography and exacting standards of color, this guarantees that you get the finest quality possible.
The watermark in the lower right hand corner of the picture does not appear on the final print.
Prints are produced on acid-free paper using archival inks to guarantee they last a lifetime without fading or loss of contrast, color or tone.
If you chose to order a framed print, the framing is done to museum quality with archival matting. The frame is wired and comes with a wall hook. It is ready to hang on the wall.
