Description
London Underground Milestones of Progress Vintage Poster
This circa 1900 poster reminds riders of the London Underground of the progress that had been made over the decades in transporting people around London.
The poster starts by depicting a woman being carried by had in the 1700s. Then horse-drawn carriages were introduced to London in the 1800s. In the late 1800s, the London Underground started with heavily polluting coal-fired trains. Finally, in 1900 the Tube trains were switched to clean electric, making for a much more pleasant journey on the underground system.
This image was created by photographing the original poster with a professional high-definition Leica camera. It is not a copy from the internet. With the exceptional photography and exacting standards of color, this guarantees that you get the finest quality possible.
The watermark in the lower right hand corner of the picture does not appear on the final print.
