Prague has an amazing tram system. It covers the entire downtown core and many of the suburbs of the city. The tram system is over 100 years old.
Most of the trams on the streets of Prague date from the 1970s to the present day. The tram in this picture, however, dates from 1917. It is one of the oldest trams in the city's collection.
This tram does not normally run on the streets of Prague. It is only used for special occasions. In this case, I happen to be fortunate enough to attend a special occasion and had a chance to ride this very special tram.
Notice the conductor on the left of the image. Also, notice the wheel that he has to turn to control the back of the tram. Very special!
