Description
The Town Beach Collioure by Paul Signac 1887
Collioure is a small fishing village in France on the Mediterranean coast. Signac painted four scenes of the village, including this image of the town beach.
In this painting, Signac is experimenting with pointillism, tiny brushstrokes that collectively form cohesive forms.
Signac always numbered his paintings as though they were musical scores. This painting is his Opus 165.
This image was created by photographing the original painting with a professional high-definition Leica camera. If you look closely, you can see the individual brushstrokes in the painting. It is not a copy from the internet. With the exceptional photography and exacting standards of color, this guarantees that you get the finest quality possible.
The watermark in the lower right hand corner of the picture does not appear on the final print.
Prints are produced on acid-free paper using archival inks to guarantee they last a lifetime without fading or loss of contrast, color or tone.
If you chose to order a framed print, the framing is done to museum quality with archival matting. The frame is wired and comes with a wall hook. It is ready to hang on the wall.
