Description
The Manneporte near Etretat 1883 by Claude Monet
The Manneporte near the town of Etretat, France was a popular tourist destination even in Monet's time. Located on the Normandy coast, Monet painted it several times over his long career.
What Monet liked about the Manneporte was how the sunlight scattered across the rough rock surface. This light dematerializing effect allowed Monet to focus on the colour and luminosity of the light.
This image was created by photographing the original painting with a professional high-definition Leica camera. If you look closely, you can see the individual brushstrokes in the painting. It is not a copy from the internet. With the exceptional photography and exacting standards of colour, this guarantees that you get the finest quality possible.
The watermark in the lower right hand corner of the picture does not appear on the final print.
Prints are produced on acid-free paper using archival inks to guarantee they last a lifetime without fading or loss of contrast, colour or tone.
If you chose to order a framed print, the framing is done to museum quality with archival matting. The frame is wired and comes with a wall hook. It is ready to hang on the wall.
