Description
The Dance Class by Edgar Degas
Executed in 1874, this is one of Degas' most ambitious paintings of ballet dancers in a dance studio. It was a work commissioned by the opera singer Jean-Baptiste Fauvre, a patron to many Impressionist painters.
The poster on the wall beside the mirror is for an opera that Fauvre performed in.
This image was created by photographing the original painting with a professional high-definition Leica camera. With the exceptional photography and exacting standards of color, this guarantees that you get the finest quality possible.
The watermark in the lower right hand corner of the picture does not appear on the final print.
Prints are produced on acid-free paper using archival inks to guarantee they last a lifetime without fading or loss of contrast, colour or tone.
If you chose to order a framed print, the framing is done to museum quality with archival matting. The frame is wired and comes with a wall hook. It is ready to hang on the wall.
