Description
Still Life With Three Puppies by Paul Gauguin
It is interesting in this painting that Gauguin chose to combine a still life of fruit, plates and cups with three puppies, who are anything but still. and yet this painting works on many different levels.
Gauguin painted this image in 1888, the same year that he became good friends with Van Gogh. It is clear in this painting that he was attempting to step away from Impressionism and focused on using analogous colors with a mixture of organic (the dogs and the fruit) and inorganic (the plates and the cups) forms.
This image was created by photographing the original painting with a professional high-definition Leica camera. If you look closely, you can see the individual brushstrokes in the painting. It is not a copy from the internet. With the exceptional photography and exacting standards of color, this guarantees that you get the finest quality possible.
The watermark in the lower right hand corner of the picture does not appear on the final print.
Prints are produced on acid-free paper using archival inks to guarantee they last a lifetime without fading or loss of contrast, color or tone.
If you chose to order a framed print, the framing is done to museum quality with archival matting. The frame is wired and comes with a wall hook. It is ready to hang on the wall.
