Nothing says New York like Radio City Music Hall lit up at night in bright neon.
This image actually captures two iconic New York City landmarks: Radio City Music Hall and Rockefeller Centre, which is in the building lit in purple in the background.
Radio City Music Hall was completed in 1940 during World War II. It gets its name from the Radio Corporation of America (which was later known as RCA). It is a popular venue for live shows, although at one time it was also a popular choice for movie premiers.
The neon lights on the building are spectacular. They caste a beautiful purple shine over the entire street. Notice how even the American flag on the left hand side of the image picks up the neon colors.
