**Watermark Not On Final Print**
Portrait of Joseph Roulin by Vincent Van Gogh
Joseph Roulin was the local postmaster in the town where Van Gogh lived in the south of France. Van Gogh was friendly with the Roulin family.
Joseph Roulin posed for Van Gogh six times. This is considered to be the best painting.
Van Gogh painted Roulin in his blue postal uniform set off against green wallpaper. Notice how Van Gogh has chosen to paint his beard as a swirling mass to counterbalance the swirls of the wallpaper.
This image was created by photographing the original painting with a professional high-definition Leica camera. This guarantees that you get the finest quality possible. The watermark in the lower right hand corner of the picture does not appear on the final print.
Prints are produced on acid-free paper using archival inks to guarantee they last a lifetime without fading or loss of contrast, colour or tone.
If you chose to order a framed print, the framing is done to museum quality with archival matting. The frame is wired and comes with a wall hook. It is ready to hang on the wall.
