Manchester Valley by Joseph Pickett
Joseph Pickett was a self-taught folk artist who only began to paint later in life. He was not discovered until the 1930s well after he had died.
Although only four of his paintings are known to have survived, he is considered to be one of America's foremost self-taught artists of the early twentieth century.
Most of Joseph Pickett's paintings were in and around New Hope, Pennsylvania, the town where he was born and lived for most of his life.
Manchester Valley is considered to be his greatest painting. It is now prominently displayed at the New York Metropolitan Museum in New York City.
This image was created by photographing the original painting with a professional high-definition Leica camera. This guarantees that you get the finest quality possible. The watermark in the lower right hand corner of the picture does not appear on the final print.
Prints are produced on acid-free paper using archival inks to guarantee they last a lifetime without fading or loss of contrast, color or tone.
If you chose to order a framed print, the framing is done to museum quality with archival matting. The frame is wired and comes with a wall hook. It is ready to hang on the wall.
