Description
Iceland Farm Turf Building by Miles Whittingham
The beautiful image is an example of a classic Iceland turf farm building. Constructed since the days of the Vikings, the building is half buried into a cliffside with turf sides and a turf roof.
I came across this building in eastern Iceland on an abandoned farm. These buildings have become extremely rare in Iceland.
This beautiful photograph was taken with a professional Leica medium format camera. The superb quality and high resolution of the camera guarantees that you get the the highest image quality possible. The watermark in the lower right hand corner of the picture does not appear on the final print.
Prints are produced on acid-free paper using archival inks to guarantee they last a lifetime without fading or loss of contrast, colour or tone.
If you chose to order a framed print, the framing is done to museum quality with archival matting. The frame is wired and comes with a wall hook. It is ready to hang on the wall.

Wonderful interplay of lines and light, Miles, and you use of negative space is refreshing.
