Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

The Folies-Bergere was the first music hall in Paris. It had a reputation for being a raunchy place. The barmaids were said to be vendors of both drink and love.
Manet frequented the Folies-Bergere and he knew it well. For this painting, he made many preparatory sketches on site. Manet even went so far as to set up the bar and use one of the barmaids (Suzon) as his model.
There are many elements to this picture that puzzle art scholars. The barmaid in particular, although beautiful, has a sad, forlorn look as if she wants to be somewhere else but can't escape her current life. And yet on the right we see the same barmaid reflected in the mirror actively engaged with a customer.
Some other things to note: the people in the background are blurred as if to suggest motion. In the upper left hand corner of the painting we can see acrobat's feet.
