Description
This is an aerial image of a lava flow just as it is about to break the surface. It is about 150 feet across to give a sense of the size of the flow. What appears to be small sticks lying on the ground are actually the remains of full size trees.
I took this image from a helicopter...with no doors...which was banking steeply...with me hanging outside.
